Bilingual Education for Central America (BECA)

Providing bilingual education to Honduran students via intercultural collaboration.

BECA collaborates with community-run schools in Honduras to provide a high-quality bilingual education to children from preschool through 9th grade. We recruit, train, and support international volunteers to serve as teachers in our schools. Since 2016, we can proudly say our graduates are also the majority of our teachers these days! Providing educational access to the most financially disadvantaged members of a community is a defining characteristic of BECA’s work. Today, BECA sees graduates who are flourishing in their home communities as their economic futures are more secure due to the quality education they receive at a BECA partner school. https://www.becaschools.org
