Music for Life

Engaging, inspiring and empowering at-promise youth through music education.

Founded in 2006, Music for Life effectively addresses the academic achievement gap in K-12 education. At-promise youth, aka low-income or at-risk, consistently underperform their peers in more advantaged families as their socioeconomic environment lacks the necessary resources and support for them to reach their potential. By providing them those resources and support in music and STEAM, we give them the same access and opportunity to succeed as their more advantaged peers. In music because research has shown it can improve their academics, social skills and emotional wellbeing. In STEAM because they are disproportionately underrepresented in STEM. https://www.musicforlife.org
